Confused!

Greetings, my lovely reader! Ah, well, the holidays are over now, and there is no longer any time for procrastination (^-^). But anyway, as of late a have been a little c0NfuSeD! (hence title...ahem). What have I been confused about? Well let me tell you! Adverts. In particular, the 'Confused.com' adverts (I don't own it bla bla bla freedom of speech bla bla bla). When I first saw this advert I have to be honest: I didn't really notice anything wrong with it. But, over time, I have begun to see more and more inappropriate innuendo's. Don't believe me?

Example number 1:

Perhaps this to you looks fine, just dandy. Look a little closer and you will see...: two milk maids, one on the left of the picture, one on the right, dressed as what can only be described as 'Slutty Milkmaids'.

Example number 2:

This is just a little extra on those two milkmaids, but here we can see them both spouting nectar points from their milk jugs! Basically, these 'women' are ejaculating on national TV. Hmm...

Example number 3:

I doubt I even need a description for this, but what the heck: The topless guys are feeding MILK to the COWS...
Ok? No? The milk is the *ahem* sperm, the cows are sucking them off, and therefore are women. Not saying gay oral sex doesn't occur, simply that the majority is that of women.

To be honest there were several more examples I didn't include, simply because the computer failed to upload them (damn these infernal machines!!!).
In this advert the women have boobs almost as though they were made of rubber. Well, men, boys, womens boobs are NOT made of rubber, and they do NOT bounce like that. And if they did it would bloody well hurt.

And if you search for 'Confused.com Farmyard (2012, UK)', and read the description, you will read this: So it seems I'm not the only person tired of this sexual charade. I'm not the only one who wants this blatant abuse of advertising to stop. This pornographic imagery should, quite simply, not be showed before the watershed. This about saving a tenner here and there, not about showing randy 14 year old boys bouncing buttocks and breasts, not about showing cows sucking off a farm hand.
And there we have it, I suppose! I've actually managed to link back to my previous post, and had a seperate rant altogether. So...phew! Anger released, no need to punch a tangoed schoolgirl (who me? Punch? Never!). And of course my friends;

'Cara, Bertha and Alan spread their bouncing boobs, shirtless buffs, blatant innuendos and Nectar points at a farm, and I lose all respect towards them. The only complaints that might have been trusted are Bertha's boobs (her arms are skinner since the Christmas ad for some reason) and Cara's misplaced pocket, but you'd better keep a sharp eye on the bald guy as he feeds a sheep.

Now, this may be an ad about double points, but they have hardly made any advert for a whole year that doesn't nag us about Nectar points in any way, despite complaints over the misrepresentation of their values. Double Nectar points are only £10, why throw such a huge party over £10? Won't Confused.com follow the steps of Gocompare and realise how annoying their ads get overtime? Can't we just go back to when Cara wasn't meant to be a singer? CONFUSED.COM! NECTAR POINTS!! THOUSANDS!!! WE GET IT!!!!'

So it seems I'm not the only person tired of this sexual charade.
And there we have it, I suppose! I've actually managed to link back to my previous post, and had a seperateme? Punch? Never!). And of course my friends;

BlaBla...Bla?

Greetings! Apologies for lack of postage, but I have been suffering from a 'cold slash bug' after a peasant sneezed on me, and have not been on the computer for the whole week! As a computer nerd, this only made me feel worse!
But this time, I'd like to point out before I start, that I am in no way a maudlin person: I do not go around every day making the worst out of things (to be honest, I have a hard time trying to make things sound worse than they actually are). I just wanted to clear that up, as sometimes we all need a little rant about those silly things that annoy us, whether they be those one time, huge occurrences, or the reoccurring, niggly, annoyances that make us want to punch something (preferably a person). But, *ahem*, back to my main rant topic!

I know that there are always going to be the people that sit at the back of class and do f-all, but what really annoys me is the way they talk. They begin in this 'whisper'. I use the bunny rabbit ears, as it's not really whispering, it's just talking normally with a huskier voice. Does this make it impossible for me to hear you? NO! I honestly don't care how important this is: it usually isn't, but if it really was, you could have a quiet word with the teacher or something. But no. Your blathering on and fucking on, your voice slowly but surely growing to a crescendo, until you let out that stupid, quavering, yet still loud laugh which makes me want to scrape chalk down a board to compare the noises (very similar!).
For instance, in my RS (Religious Studies, or Education, depending on your school) lesson, there is an entire back row which just talks. It may seem amazing to you lot, but I took RS because I enjoy it, and because I want to learn. If you don't want to learn, piss off back home, please.

I would say I was proud of my teachers for standing up to them, for telling them to shut up or get out... but I'm not, because they don't.
I would say I was sorry for my teachers for having to put up with this for their entire careers..but I'm not, bacuse they should be the ones doing something about it.
Half my teachers seem to be unable to handle a class. And it's disapointing! I go to Grammar School; and when I first found out I was going (back when a was a wee scrap of a munchkin!) I was delighted! I thought, ''Wow! No more idiots talking about silly, unneeded, things in life! No more teachers
being unable to teach properly, no more of them not knowing what to do, or being unable to control a class!''
Because that's what I'm like. No, I'm not normal, but why is it bad that I want a good education? Why is it bad that I want to do my GCSE's in modular form instead of one huge clumping essay at the end of things, when I've forgotten everything? Why is it bad that I have interests in 'geeky', or 'nerdy' things? (oh, and there is a difference between geeky and nerdy!)

Let's have an example! Let's call my teacher 'Teacher X' (oh how original, Erin).
Teacher X enters a classroom where 30% of the pupils are chatting at various decibel levels. She walks over to her desk in shoes which are more fitting slippers than work shoes, sits down, and logs onto the computer. She doesn't utter a word for a solid 7 minutes, then gets up and begins the lesson. No one stops their conversations, and the rest of the 70% of the class strains to hear what she is saying. She hands out various sheets for the students to fill in, not once telling those noisy students to 'quieten down'.
To sum up; one whole hour spent by me straning to hear what the teacher says, while the entire back row yaps off. For. The. Entire. HOUR.

If you suffer as I do, please comment about it, and, my friends,
Live long, and Prosper.

Music Videos

Hello again! Recently in the news there has been a lot of talk about pornification of music videos, clothing, etcetera. So, considering this is a blog where I get to rant, I thought I should tell you what I think.
The music and video companies use that excuse of 'We sell with sex because it's what people want to see.'. First of all, I doubt you sell with the sex, because although a 15 year old boy may enjoy Ke$ha dancing, whilst wolves copulate in the background (what is that wolf sex all about anyway? Anyone get turned on by that, 'cos I sure didn't), there's no way in hell he's going to be seen:

a) Buying a Ke$ha CD
b)Carrying a Ke$ha CD
c)Listening to Ke$ha

And why? To be honest, I really don't know! Do girls want to be like her? Unfortunately the answer to this is yes, but do they buy the music because they like it? It's not likely. It's more likely that they bought it because it's the 'in thing' or because they want to be like her.
Secondly, when did it become acceptable for you to 'sell with sex because it's what people want to see'? I may not be the norm, but I really don't want my family buying me a Katy Perry Live Show DVD and saying ''We thought you'd love it, because it has so many sexual references in, and, well, not just references, but she squirts cream from her boobs!''. If you ask any teen if they would listen to or buy a sexual song in front of parents, they are obviously going to say 'NO NO NO NO NO'. And why? Because it's embarrassing, and nobody wants that awkward moment when Rihanna wants you to make her feel 'like she's the only girl in the world', while your mum or dad is in the room with you.
And it's not just teenagers; adults tut, complain, or feel awkward about it as well. Why would you want to watch something like this with your child?

I wonder what a 10 year old makes of today's pop videos (for example, see above!), which leaves literally nothing to the imagination. Or perhaps I should search a little younger? How about a 4 year old? Because we all know that they're up around 6 or 7 in the morning, watching the box full of intriguing moving images (WOW!), and with music channels such as 4Music and VIVA showing sexual music videos for 24 hours straight, I wouldn't be surprised if you came down in the morning to find little 4 year old Rosie staring at Lady Gaga writhing around on a mans genitalia, while she is wearing only a skimpy bra and knickers.

And for an example, my Saturday morning was a perfect example. I turned on VIVA, because sometimes P!nk is on, and I like her. But anyway. What I saw was not too bad; there was still a number of inappropriate scenes to be shown at 10am in the morning, but what stunned me the most were the lyrics. The song? Take Your Shirt Off  by T-Pain. The worst lyric, in my opinion? This:

''I know you don't care when your titties everywhere, homegirl . . . Take your mother-f---g shirt off, hey.''

How is that acceptable for 10 in the morn? It's not, and yet, the TV programme's time slot is rated as PG.

I agree that children need to be informed about sex, and I'm not advocating a return to the past, where everything was about secrecy and everyone was buttoned up, just that we think about what children as young as 4 are seeing. If you agree, feel free to comment, or follow.
And, as usual, live long, and prosper.

BlaBla Beginning

Hey there! This is my first 'blog blog' (by that I mean that I'm actually blogging my thoughts and immense feels instead of doing Assassins Creed and Skyrim walkthroughs). So before we begin, I feel like I should tell you some general information about myself. In the words of Mario: 'Here we go!' (Unless you don't care, in which case, scroll a bit!)
My name is Erin (Hi!), I live in England, am 15 years old (and so in Year 10, for those of you who can't be bothered to do the maths- I know I couldn't!), have Twitter(I sometimes say cool things, feel free to follow me: @Celestial98), Facebook (which I rarely use due to it's constant use of racist, sexist, and fascist comments), and, of course, the mighty YouTube! My favourite YouTubers are Danisnotonfire (Dan Howell), AmazingPhil (Phil Lester) , Kickthepj (Peter Jasper Liguori), Crabsticks (Chris kendall), Jacksgap (Jack Harries & sometime Finn Harries!), and It'sWayPastMyBedtime (Carrie Hope Fletcher).
I am in love with the band The Midnight Beast, but also enjoy Muse, The Sex Pistols, Apocalyptica, The Hoosiers, P!nk, Prince, Cypress Hill, and plenty more!
I'm a total gamergirl; for example, I'm currently playing Assassins Creed 3, Skyrim, Sims 3, Lair, Batman: Arkham City (I've already done Arkham Asylum :)), and I think that's enough!
I think that'll do for now! You'll probably find out a lot more about me as I progress through my blogs.

Ok! Now we've got that out of the way, let's talk about going back to school! YAY! (she says sarcastically -_-) Is it just me (to quote Miranda Hart), or are 'those girls' getting louder, bitchier, and oranger every time I see them?If you're reading this and you just thought: 'Oh, it's a NERD writing this. Oh Em Gee I'm totes not orangeeee!' (Yeah, I know that was stereotypical 'cool girl', but then again, most of the girls in my school who are 'cool girls' think and talk exactly like that. Yup, that's what I've got to put up with.)Well listen up! Do you have a medical condition that means you physically cannot tie your hair up? No? Do you want to die of skin cancer from all those harmful UV rays? No? Do you want us all to see your underwear, because if your skirt gets any higher we just might get a glimpse! Eww! A THONG!?!? Do you really think that boy will want to go out with you if all you have left of your backcombed hair is a few wispy split ends? I don't think so.
Why should I have to put up with your shit? It might seem stupid to you, but I actually WANT this education. This amazing, free, yes, free, education which is one of the best in the world. And what do you do? Whine, and bitch, and moan, and wither away the rest of the class (and teacher) with your talk of texting, and boys, and nail polish, and 'Oh my GOD! I love your earrings, where did you get them?!' Another thing you aren't allowed to wear. Dear god, how long will this go on for!? I don't WANT to hear about how Kelly apparently slept with Tom, or how she's apparently pregnant with his baby. You wanna know what I wanna do? I wanna learn about particles, and how engineering works, and how if you combine this with that, it'll explode, but at the same time remove all oxygen in the space of 5cm! Do you not realise what you're missing? Do you not realise what you're ruining? Do you not realise?

If you're reading this, and you also have to put up with this, then wherever you are, whoever you are, my heart goes out to you. No, seriously. Live long, and prosper.
